Pulwama: A paramilitary CRPF trooper who was injured in a gunfight at Aripal Tral area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on January 5 has succumbed to injuries at All India Institute of Medical Sciences(AIIMS), New Delhi.
The 39-year-old trooper namely Mahesh Kumar Meena was injured in the gunfight as lone militant managed to flee. Besides CRPF, army’s 42 RR and SOG had launched a cordon and search operation at Aripal area of Tral following which the gunfight had started.
