ADDC suspends 26 absent employees in Budgam

Budgam:
 Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC), Budgam, Khurshid Ahmad Sanai on Saturday suspended 26 government employees for remaining absent from their duties, during a surprise inspection to various offices in Budgam.

Talking to The INS Sanai said, “During the surprise inspection, 21 employee of Power Development Department (PDD) of Divison and Sub division Budgam and five employees of Roads and Buildings (R&B) department Divison Budgam were found unauthorized absent from their duties.”

The ADDC has ordered an on spot suspension of the absent employees.

He said that the government has adopted zero tolerance against the dereliction of duties by employees.

Sanai further directed employees to perform their duties regularly in letter and spirit and ensure prompt services to the general public.

When asked about the surprise visits to other departments Sanai said, “Surprise visits would continue and those found absent would be dealt under law after proper investigations.”
