Srinagar: The government on Friday accorded sanction to the constitution of a five-member District Level Committee for achieving 100 percent  saturation of toilets, drinking water and electricity in Government Schools

Headed by respective District Development Commissioner, the committee  has been tasked to make actual assessment of deficient schools on the minimum requirement basis and preparing of Detail Project Report(s) for the purpose.

The committee has been also tasked to monitor the works executed by different agencies i.e Public Health Engineering, Power Development Department and Engineering wing of the School Education Department and to ensure completion of works by 28th February. It was also tasked to work out requirement of additional funds for providing electricity, drinking water connections to the school.
