6 days on, Tral village remains submerged in snow, people face troubles

Tral: Notwithstanding official claims, snow has not been cleared from Zrarihar village in Tral area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Despite the passing of six days following the last week’s snow, road remain inundated with snow due to which locals say they face a lot of inconveniences.
One of the locals said that snow on road was giving tough time to them and since then it has turned icy which poses threat to life.
The locals said that barring Zrarihar village, all the roads of Tral sub division were cleared on the very first day of snow. The locals demanded immediate clearance of snow on the road to mitigate their problems.
A senior engineer of R&B department official said that while all roads were cleared of snow but “because of a curve near Ourigund village, Zrarihar village could not be cleared with machines.
He however said that authorities under Pradan Mantari Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) are catering to the area.
