Pulwama: Clashes erupted in Litter area of Pulwama after news of a local militant killing spread.

Protesting youth took to streets and clashed with forces to which forces retaliated with using tear gas to disperse them.

A local militant was killed in a brief shootout with Army after a patrolling party came under fire from militants.

The slain has been identified as Irfan Ahmad Rather alias Wajid Khan resident of Rajpora Litter Pulwama affiliated with Hizb.

Sources claimed that the search operations in the area are still ongoing.
