Sopore: A family in north Kashmir’s Hajin’ demanded justice for their daughter who allege that  she was murdered by her husband. Family and relatives on Saturday had protested demanding arrest of the husband.

“She was murdered by her husband who is currently affiliated with PDP,” Mohammed Shafi,  brother of the victim said.

On 8th July 2018,  masked men barged the house of PDP worker Abdul Gaffar Dar and killed his wife Shakeela.

“The concerned SHO Hajin did not register case under FIR 302, raising many questions on police’s intention, ” Shafi said.

Relatives alleges that police is showing a cold attitude towards the case, and moreover is very arrogant towards the them. The family alleged administration for dumping the case , as the PDP worker holds an political power.

SSP Bandipora Zulfikar Azad refuted the allegation and said that many suspects has been questioned.

“We can’t put the husband behind bars as there is lack evidences and without strong evidence we can’t put the suspect behind bars ,” he said.
