Poonch: A snow avalanche hit an army post in Sawjian sector of Poonch district leading to the death of one army personnel while another has been injured in the incident. 

Reports said that an army post of 40 RR was hit by snow avalanche at KK Galki,  in Sawjian sector along the line of control.

One ‘sepoy Harpreet Singh of Punjab’ was injured and quickly evacuated to medical facility.

The deceased has been identified as Lance Naik Sapan Mehra of Kangra, Himachal Pradesh.
