Mehjoor shines, declared man of series for 15 wickets in Nagpur tourney

Srinagar: Speed star of Jammu and Kashmir Mehjoor Ali helped CAG Delhi defeat Mumbai Cricket Academy by 77 runs in the final match of Shri Gajanan Maharaj T20 Cricket Tournament at Nagpur.
CAG Delhi won the toss and elected to bat first, scoring 186 runs for the loss of seven wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Abhiv Barot hit superb ton, scoring 107 while Asif Khan chipped with 37 runs.
In reply Mumbai Cricket Academy were bundled out on 109 runs. From the beginning of their innings they lose wickets as Mehjoor Ali took four wickets while Jaskaran and Karan took three wickets each.
Abhiv Barot was declared player of the final while as speed star Mehjoor Ali was declared player of the tournament for his superb bowling performance throughout the contest. Mehjoor took 14 wickets in the five matches in the tournament.
Earlier Mehjoor took four wickets in semi-final and took seven wickets in previous two matches at an economy of less than 4.5 per over. Mehjoor Ali has been neglected by JKCA selectors continuously for so many times but he kept performing well in all the matches where ever he played.
