Kupwara:  The Jammu and Kashmir Zamindar Forum on Monday are fuming over the callous approach of government towards fruit growers and laborers for not awarding waiver scheme as granted in the states like Madhiya Pardesh, Chatisgrah and Pajasthan.

President J&K Zamindar Bachawo Forum Abdul Hamid Malik said that like other states of India, Jammu and Kashmir government should also award such benefit in favor of the Zamindar community.

“Government should take serious note of the Kashmir because farmers have suffered losses during the floods and other natural mishaps from time,” he said.

“Farmers are on the verge of losing everything. Government is forcing us to come on roads to protest,” he claimed.

He demanded that state farmers be awarded with KCC loan waiver at the earnest

“Valley’s fruit produce is being sold at cheaper rates and none seems to listen to farmer’s plight,” he said.
