KCC&I welcomes extension of North East Industrial Package to J&K

Srinagar: The Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry welcomed the extension of the North East Industrial Package to the State of Jammu and Kashmir.
Sheikh Ashiq Ahmad, President KCC&I stated that the announcement was an important step for attracting investment in the industrial sector and boosting local industrial growth.
He said that the KCC&I had been demanding the extension of this package to our State as, coupled with other meaningful interventions by the Government, local industry would have some advantages for marketing and promotion of their products.
He also thanked K K Sharma, Advisor to Governor and BVR Subramanyam, Chief Secretary, Government of Jammu and Kashmir for the sustained efforts put in by them for getting this package extended to the State.
He hoped that local entrepreneurs would take advantage of the package to generate employment and growth opportunities for the business community.
