Poonch: Mughal road, connecting the southern Poonch and Shopian districts, was closed along with
Srinagar-Ladakh highway due to fresh snowfall since late last night, official said on Monday.
They said there was fresh snowfall in Pir Ki Gali early on Monday morning, leading to the closure of the traffic on Mughal road.
“The vehicular traffic was suspended due to slippery road conditions in view of the snowfall,” officials said.
Meanwhile, the 434-km-long Srinagar-Ladakh road was also closed following the snowfall at several places en-route.
“Light to moderate snowfall was recorded at Sonmarg, Zojila, Zero-point, Meenmarg and other places on the highway, and was still snowing at these places,” the officials added.
