Baramulla: The voting for the penultimate phase of the 9-phased Panchayat elections started on a dull note in Baramulla district of north Kashmir as 2.99 percent electorate cast their vote in first hour on Saturday.
Official sources told INS that Nadihal where 2305 voters are eligible to vote, 45 votes were cast till 9 a.m., marking the turnout percentage of 1.95%. Similarly in Narwah block, 335 votes among 14840 electorate cast vote (2.26%). Boniyar block where 12200 voters are eligible, 496 cast vote (4.07%) so far, the officials added.
