Srinagar: A thick layer of fog engulfed Kashmir on Friday, leading to poor visibility and affected road traffic in most parts of the Valley.
Srinagar, the summer capital of the state and many parts of the Valley witnessed dense fog in the morning. It led to traffic jam as motorists drove cautiously due to poor visibility.
The Meteorological Department here said the fog was a result of sudden dip in the temperatures and condensation of water droplets in the atmosphere.
“This is a normal phenomenon during time of the season,” said a weather office official.
