Budgam:A calf show cum clinical camp was organized by the veterinary Assistant surgeon (VAS)Animal Husbandry Subunit Wadipora at Wanpora village of central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Thursday .

The medical camp gave farmers an opportunity to get their calves examined and treated during the event.

The main purpose of organizing the show cum medical camp was to encourage and educate the farmer’s participation in animal health care.

At least, 30 farmers and their calves participated in the Calf-Show event .The calves belonging to Nazir Ahmad Wani and Mohammad Ramzan Sheikh were declared to be the best calves in the event . The calves were dewormed and  free of cost medicines and  feed was distributed among the farmers.

The participating farmers offered their sincere appreciations to Dr Bashir Ahmad Ganayi, VAS Animal Husbandry Subunit Wadipora for rendering  support and working for the well-being of farmers.
Meanwhile, the show was organised by Dr Bashir Ahmad Ganayi, VAS Animal Husbandry Subunit Wadipora and was carried under the supervision of Dr Parvez Ahmad Bhat, Block Veterinary Officer (BVO) B.K Pora.
Others who were present on the occasion were Dr Faisal Bhat, Dr Nazir Ahmad Dar, Manzoor Ahmad Qadri and Parvez Ahmad Mir.
