Noted Ad film maker and theatre personality Alyque Padamsee died Saturday morning in Mumbai at the age of 90 reports NDTV.
Padamsee was best known for his role as Muhammad Ali Jinnah in 1982 historical drama ‘Gandhi’.
As the head of Lintas India ,he was credited for building into one of the top advertising agencies in the country.
Padmse was the brain behind several iconic ad campaigns including ad campaigns including Lalitaji for surf,the Lirilbgirl,cherry Charlie for cherry Blossom shoe polish ,Hamara Bajaj Bajaj,the MRF muscle man among other memorable ads .He was awarded Sangeet Natak Akademi Tagore Ratna in 2012.
