DSP injured in accident in Kupwara airlifted to AIIMS New Delhi

Jammu: Deputy Superintendent of Police Bodh Raj of IRP 4th battalion, who was seriously injured in a road accident while on election duty in Keran area of Kupwara district last evening, has been airlifted to AIIMS New Delhi, a police spokesman said on Friday.
The Director General of Police Dilbag Singh, IGP Kashmir S.P. Pani saw him off at Airport alongwith his family for AIIMS New Delhi.
“As has been reported earlier Bodh Raj Dy.SP alongwith SgCt. Rattan Lal, Ct. Jahangir Ahmad, Ct. Rakesh Kumar and Const. Sanjeev Kumar, were injured in a road accident when the vehicle they were travelling in skidded off in Keran area,” the spokesman said. They were on Panchayat election duties and were immediately shifted to the nearest Army hospital wherefrom by the efforts of Corps Commander A.K. Bhatt and IGP Kashmir S.P. Pani the injured DySP along with two other personnel were airlifted to 92 Base Hospital, Srinagar where they were stabilized.
“The seriously injured officer alongwith his family was airlifted to AIIMS Delhi through an air ambulance arranged by the department today”.
Special instructions have been given by the DGP J&K to the J&K Police officers at New Delhi to take care of the officer and provide all assistance, the spokesman said. “He has wished him speedy recovery.”
