Srinagar: State Human Rights Commission chairman Justice (rtd) Bilal Nazki on Tuesday issued a notice to deputy commisoner Ganderbal and ssp Ganderbal to respond to an alleged case assault on two Ganderbal residents by Army on November 6.

According to officials they have been asked to file compliance report in the case of assault on Shabir Ahmed Raina and his cousin Rouf Ahmed Raina who were allegedly summoned to nearby camp in Waraphowa, Ganderbal.

Shabir Ahmed Raina and his cousin Rouf Ahmed Raina were allegedly bundled in a vehicle and beaten to pulp and were asked to drink kerosene oil.

“While as Shabir remains in critical condition after his release. Rouf is still under custody.Charges against Rouf haven’t been made clear and they have demanded immediate registration of FIR and a thorough probe into the incident,” official said.
