Pulwama: Massive funeral prayers held for slain militants at their native villages

Srinagar: Hundreds of thousands of people on Saturday attended the funeral prayers of two militants who were slain in a gunfight with government forces in Tikken village of southern Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

Locals said that massive throng of people was witnessed in Bellow village of the district where one of the slain militants Liyaqat belonged.

They said thousands of people also attended the funeral of Wajid Ahmad, another slain militant at Bhabar village of the district.

“Multiple rounds of funeral prayers were offered for both slain militants amid massive pro-freedom and pro-Pakistan sloganeering.
