Kupwara: Dozens of inhabitants from Qalamabad Handwara on Friday early morning blocked the Nowgam-Handwara road against the authorities failing to provide the portable water to their area. 
Protesters dozens in numbers, Assembled at qalamabad and blocked the nowgam-Hanwara road for hours demanding the portable water for their area.
Protesters alleged concerned PHE department especially field staff of neglecting their requests from months now, traffic movement was also halted in the area.
However concerned Tehsildar and SHO reached the spot and assured the protesters that their grievances will be addressed within short period of time.
