Sopore: Residents of Sopore’s Green Town  of Sopore town in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district Monday protested against PHE as taps in the area have gone dry as portable water supply has been stopped to the area.

According to protesting locals the portable water supply has been stopped to the area since a month now.
Raising slogans against the PHE department scores of the residents including men and women blocked Sopore-Baramulla bypass road at Green town.
PHE officers said that department is working to provide water supply through Watlab line to the area.
“Higher authorities had approved this scheme for the area and work on this scheme will be started soon,” officials said wishing anonymity as they are not authorised to speak to media.
