In a statement, a spokesperson of Jama’at said that a delegation of Jama’at-e-Islami Jammu and Kashmir led by its Political Bureau head advocate Zahid Ali visited the families of those who lost their beloved ones in recent Laroo Kulgam incident.

“Delegation paid tributes to martyrs and expressed complete solidarity with the families and demanded an impartial probe by some international reputed agency to unveil the nefarious designs of forces personnel involved in the act.”

“Jama’at visited Rishipora, Laroo, Makhanpora, Shurat, Bogund, Hawoora, Awhatoo, Wangam and Arwani and condemned the mass genocide of Kashmiris by Indian unruly forces,” the statement said.

“Kashmiris since decades are demanding their birth right ‘right to self determination’ peacefully but India unfortunately has enforced bone chilling brutalities that are aimed to stop the genuine and just voice and those demanding and supporting this legitimate voice are being arrested, tortured, maimed, disappeared and killed at the hands of government forces day in and out and Kulgam incident is one of the glaring examples of repressive tactics. The version stated by police regarding Kulgam post-operation blast has been vehemently refuted by local population and termed the incident a well planned. According to local population, when they reached the spot when gunfight was ended, people were searching dead bodies from the debris in the premises and meanwhile a big blast happened that snatched the lives of several innocent youth and left dozens injured.”
