JRL calls for Kulgam March on Oct 24, state wide shutdown on Oct 27

Srinagar: Joint Resistance Leadership has called for a march to Kulgam on October 24, tomorrow and for a shutdown on October 27.

According to the spokesman the JRL has asked people to march towards Kulgam where ten people including seven civilians were recently killed after a gunfight between militants and government forces at Laroo area.

JRL said that it urges all to march towards Kulgam and specially asked people from North Kashmir to join the march to show south Kashmir that whole valley stands with them at this moment, and to show their allegience to the ‘freedom movement’.

JRL also asked imams of the mosques to hold special prayers for the ‘martyrs’ of Kulgam on October 26 and to protest against the killings.

They also asked for a state wide shutdown on october 27, the day indian army landed in kashmir.

“They day should be observed as black and occupation day,” they said.
