Animal, Sheep Husbandry Departments to fill 450 vacancies in next 3 months

Srinagar: Animal and Sheep Husbandry Departments will fill 450 class 4th vacancies through a special recruitment drive within three months.
The decision was taken by the Principal Secretary Animal, Sheep and Fisheries and Transport departments, Dr Asgar Samoon at a high-level meeting of Animal and Sheep Husbandry Departments.
The meeting was attended by Director Animal Husbandry Department Kashmir, Director Sheep Husbandry Department Kashmir, Director Finance, Additional Secretary Animal/Sheep Husbandry, and Deputy Secretary Law, district officers of these departments. The meeting was also attended by Director Animal Husbandry Jammu; Director Sheep Husbandry Jammu and district officers of Jammu region also attended the meeting via videoconferencing.
Dr Samoon sought detailed report from district officers regarding the vacant posts in the districts and sought their early referral to the recruitment agencies.
He directed for early filling of objections where posts are stuck due to court cases and directed the legal battery of department to fight the cases vigorously.
Stressing on augmentation of manpower in the department, Dr Samoon said that with the filling of these posts, hundreds of youth will get employment besides boosting the activities of the department.
After marathon discussion on status of vacancies, Animal Husbandry Department Kashmir directed the officers to complete selection process of 439 posts including 141 posts of Kashmir division in Animal Husbandry Department, 74 posts in Sheep Husbandry Department Kashmir, 118 Animal Husbandry Department Jammu, 104 posts in Sheep Husbandry Departments within three months.
Dr Samoon also sought the cooperation of SSB chairman Zubair Ahmed in completing the process within stipulated time so that department will expand its role at the grass root level for the welfare of the people associated with these departments.
