Ganderbal man found dead after suspected bear attack

Gandebal: Body of a 45-year-old was found in a forest area in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district and prima-facie it seems he might have been killed in a bear attack, police said on Tuesday.
According to police, corpse of Ghulam Mohammad Magray (45) son of Abdul Khaliq Magray resident of Khanan Kangan was found at Wayil Wuder in Gutlibagh area of the Ganderbal district.
The police said that the Magray had scratch marks on his neck, indicating that he might have been attacked by bear. However, police said, the postmortem would reveal the cause of the death.
“Police have taken cognizance of the case and investigation has been taken up,” a police official said.
