CASO launched in New Colony after gunshots in Seelu Sopore

Sopore: Army, CRPF and police on Sunday afternoon launched a joint cordon-and-search operation in parts of Sopore following some gunshots heard near Seelu area of the apple town.

Reports said that gunshots were heard near Zangir Mode in the area    and soon joint team of forces cordoned off New Colony Sopore, more than 2 kilometers from Seelu, they said.

A police officer said that the CASO was launched following inputs about the presence of militants in the  area.
