Srinagar: Having been placed under house arrest, chairman of Hurriyat Conference (M) on Sunday said huge deployment of forces, slapping of PSAs, incarcerations, house arrests, raids amid secrecy about the candidates in fray for the civil polls was “mockery” of democracy.
“Under #HouseArrest!Peculiar”Democratic”process of elections“gearing up “as huge deployment of forces,PSAs, incarcerations,house arrests,raids Curbs,internet bans gather momentum! Not to mention the unknown contestants and amused public ! What mockery of democracy is at display!,” Mirwaiz tweeted.
