Bovine smuggling bid foiled in Kathua

Kathua: Police on Friday said that a bovine smuggling bid was foiled and five animal were rescued in Kathua area of Jammu division of the state.

“A team of Police Post Nagri on a tip off during the intervening night of 4/5-10-2018 established checkpoint at Nakkian Nadoli area falling in the jurisdiction of Police Post Nagri and seized one Mahindra bolero bearing registration no PB35UT-4506 coming from Punjab, illegally carrying 5 bovine animals,” Police said.
Police said that 5 bovine animals being smuggled in the vehicle were recovered.

Police registered a case FIR no 376/2018 US 188 RPC, 3/5 PCA Act and investigation taken up. People widely appreciated action of Kathua Police.
