Srinagar: Fire emerged in Shankarayachariya hills on Tuesday evening even as process has been started to douse off the flames.

Sources  said that the flames could be seen from Gupkar road and fire and emergency department has rushed fire tenders to the spot to douse off the flames.

A forest officer said that operation to douse off the flames have been started by the forest department and personnel of fire and emergency service department.

The officer said that cause of the fire will be ascertained after the flames are brought under control.  (picture used for illustration)
