Govt forms panel on setting up of IIT, IIM

Srinagar: State Government on Monday constituted State Level Coordination Committee to coordinate and resolve inter-departmental issues relating to setting up of Institutions of Central Government like IIT and IIM in the State. Both these prestigious institutions are coming up in Jammu, the winter capital of the state.
Headed by Administrative Secretary, Higher Education Department, the 10-member committee has been tasked to coordinate and resolve inter-departmental issues among the State Government Departments and coordinate with the autonomous institutions established under various centrally sponsored schemes, for timely redressal of issues with line departments of State Government.
