Pulwama: A youth was injured alleged due to teargas shell fired by government forces to quell protesters in Tral area of this south Kashmir’s district on Sunday.

Official sources said that the clashes erupted in Tral soon after a gunfight between militants and government forces started in Tral early on Sunday.

During the clashes, the government forces fired teargas shells to disperse the protesting youth who continued with the protest and tried to move towards the site of encounter.

A youth identified as Manzoor Ahmad Dar son of Assadullah Dar of Gam Tral suffered injuries in his face and was shifted to nearby hospital where from he has been referred to Srinagar hospital for specialized treatment. As per hospital sources, Dar has suffered injuries due to hitting of teargas shell on his face. However, there was no police confirmation as to youth’s injuries so far.
