Shia mourners reach MA road, detained

Srinagar: Several Shia mourners were detained by Police after they managed to reach the civil lines area of Srinagar on Friday.

Despite restrictions and heavy deployment mourners managed to reach MA Road and marched while raising slogans like “Labaik Ya Hussain”.

Police swung into action and detained them including Shia leader affiliated with Hurriyat Conference (G) Nissar Hussain Rather.

A group of mourners were dispersed by police at budshah Chowk.
