Anantnag: Believe it or not!  A spring in Anantnag gushes when called by children and water returns back when they cry for same.

The mysterious spring is located in the Halsidar Kapran area, about 40 kms, from main town Anantnag district.

As kids shout “Khas Khas Nagav” (gush oh spring), the water begins to come out of the spot decorated by a stone wall around.

“When children ‘wass Wass Nagav” (Go back Spring), the water begins to recede,” Locals said.

The area is popularly known as “Sath Resh”  meaning seven saints.

The roads leading to the area is dilapidated and residents have ‘so many times appealed higher ups to intervene and provide them with better road connectivity,”they said.

According Wali Mohd Thoker 60, there are spirits of seven saints residing the place.

“Some times in mid night we hear somebody reciting Quran near the springs but we never go near the springs during night,” Wali Mohd claims.

He claimed that their forefathers venerated the place and told them that seven great saints would stay there.

The place is located in center of the mountains.
