JAMMU, Sep 15: As a part of Jail Bharo Andolan, a large numbers of leaders, workers including women employees associated with All Jammu and Kashmir PHE ITI Trained, CP Workers and Land Donors Association, today courted arrest at Dogra Chowk pertaining to release their long pending wages.

Protesting employees have extended their strike for 72 hours to press the government to fulfill the issues of the Association without any delay.

Association State President Tanveer Hussain  said, “It is very shameful that daily wagers are on roads for wages of workers since last one week but none of the administrator from the department has shown his concern for our genuine issues. The administration has not shown any seriousness in mitigating the problems and issues being faced by the PHE workers so far and failed to keep their promise of releasing salary.”

“Government should immediately release all the pending wages of the daily wagers without any delay,” he added and threatened to obstruct “Railways network” from Lakhanpur to Udhampur, if our demands are not conceded without any delay.

He further announced association will launch similar Jail Bharo Andolan in Udhampur on September 17, in Rajouri on 19th and in Poonch on September 20 and urged upon government to immediately release all the pending wages of the daily wagers without further delay.

Earlier, a large number of daily wagers from various division, district presidents and general secretaries, the central committee members assembled at Exhibition Ground Jammu and took out a rally towards Dogra Chowk to show their resentment against the callous attitude of the government towards PHE workers
