Sopore : Complete shutdown is being observes in Sopore subdivison of Baramulla district over killing of Hurriyat activist and two local militants recently.

The call for shutdown was given by Joint Resistance Leadership comprising of Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Yasin Malik.

Hurriyat activist Hakeem-ur-Rehman Sultani of Bomai was killed by unknown gunmen on September 8.
All shops, business establishments, petrol pumps are closed in Sopore and Zaingeer area while public transport is off the roads.
Authorities have already decided to suspend classwork in all educational institutions of sub division sopore on Friday as precautionary measures.
