Sopore:  Two militants have been killed in the encounter that broke out between militants and forces in Arampora locality of Sopore in Baramulla district on Thursday.

Officials said that two militants,  identity of whom is yet to be ascertained,  have been killed but the bodies have not been retrieved from the site so far.

Earlier forces used drones in the operation as well to monitor the area.

Several blastswere heard amid massive gunfire,  as forces launched final assault on holed up militants,  official added.

“Search operation is still underway, ” he said.
