Srinagar: In view of strike call given by the joint resistance leadership on the 34th hanging anniversary of JKLF founder Maqbool Bhat, the district magistrate Kupwara ordered imposition of “reasonable restrictions” in certain areas of the north Kashmir  on Sunday.

“In view of strike call given by the separatists on 11th of February 2018, it has become imperative to impose reasonable restrictions in certain areas of the District, as a precautionary measure,” district magistrate said in an order issued on Saturday.

“Now, therefore, in order to prevent any breach of peace and ensure safety and security public and properties. I District Magistrate Kupwara, in exercise of powers vested in me under section 144 Cr.PC do hereby impose reasonable restrictions at  Kupwara, Trehgam , Kralpora areas of District Kupwara on 11 February 2018,” he said asked Senior Superintendent of Police Kupwara to implement the Order strictly.
