Srinagar: The state Congress chief, G A Mir and CPI (M) senior leader and MLA Kulgam, Muhammad Yousuf Tarigami on Monday staged protest against the rising prices on petroleum/gas products in the country.
Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) led by its chief carried out a protest march from Congress headquarters here to Dalgate.
Amid anti-BJP sloganeering, the protesters said that the rising hike in petroleum and gas products has led to the hardships of common people.
Meanwhile, led by Tarigami, CPI (M) also staged a protest against the rising prices of petrol and other things.
They demanded that prices of such materials should be reduced, so that the people could heave a sigh of relief.
