Srinagar: Former Secretary, J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, Prof Dr Rita Jitendra on Monday died during a live broadcast of DD Kashir in Srinagar.

Reports said Prof Jitendra, who was a prominent writer and educationist, was speaking in a live broadcast of “Good Morning JK” programme when she suffered a cardiac arrest.

Medical Superintendent SMHS hospital, Dr Saleem Tak said she was declared dead on arrival at the facility.
According to the footage of the programme, Prof Jitendra choked all of a sudden during the programme around 8:30 am.
