Hurriyat Conference (M) hopes India will respond to Pak’s offer for talks

Srinagar: Welcoming Pakistan government’s offer of resolving all pending issues including Kashmir by means of dialogue with a India, Hurriyat Conference (M) termed it as a good beginning and hoped that New Delhi will respond positively and resolve the vexed issue of Kashmir as per the aspirations of people for the everlasting peace in the region. The Hurriyat Conference said that it has always advocated resolution of Kashmir dispute by means of result dialogue among all the stakeholders and for that it’s a must that two nations India and Pakistan should come closer, and take concrete steps for the resolution of Kashmir issue.
The Hurriyat Conference also paid tribute to the youth killed in an encounter with forces at Matrigam, Kulgam stating that the youth are offering the priceless sacrifices for a great and sacred cause. The people and resistance leadership is duty bound to take the mission of martyrs to its logical conclusion, he added.
The Hurriyat Conference said that slapping PSA on eight Youth in Shopian is highly condemnable and it seems government is feeling frustrated because of the people’s commitment towards the movement. It said that the government has already filed almost all Jails with the people of all ages in and outside Kashmir just to force them Into submission and the fact remains there is no proof of the inmates being involved in anything other than the only crime of theirs is asking for their birth right to self- determination
The Hurriyat Conference said that in jails inmates are being deprived of the basic facilities guaranteed by the jail manual which is highly deplorable. The Hurriyat Conference also condemned the arrest of senior leader Mukhtar Ahmed Waza and lodging him in police station Sherbagh terming it as the pure political vendetta.
