Budgam: The Jio, Reliance, of Wadipora village and its adjacent areas in the Chadoora area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district are irked by the poor working of the mobile networking giant and are still waiting to get the Jio tower installed in the area.

The callous attitude of India’s fastest growing telecom company, Jio towards facilitating good network connectivity and installing a Jio tower has irked its subscribers due to poor network services. The subscribers expectantly demanded to Jio Company to install the tower in the area at the prioritization.

“We are witnessing the worst network services from Jio and despite promising the installation of tower in the village ‘Wadipora’ after registering the umpteen complaints regarding worst network services; the country’s fastest growing telecom company Jio is yet to install a Jio tower,” a group of subscribers lamented.

The inhabitants of the said ambit, which is just four kilometers far from the main town Chadoora have already subscribed Jio network after availing the sim cards, but the due to deprived calling and internet services the Jio subscribers are facing immense problems.

“Being the part of Jio family we are supposed to change the sim cards in our phone every time we reach home, as of Jio’s poor network services in the area,” confided Shabir Ahmad, a resident of Wadipora.

Adding further Shabir said that among all the villages in my vicinity including Kultreh, Bahram Pora, Brari Gund, Sarai, Wanpora and Kral Chak, Wadipora is the sole village having zilch network services provided by Jio.

Talking to The INS News, Muneer Ahmad, a subscriber said that, the Jio itself is compelling its customers to switch to other companies as changing sim cards is the routine for the subscribers there. “In order to evade us from switching to other companies Jio must immediately install a tower to provide the best network connectivity in the area,” Muneer added.

When contacted Showkat Ahmad, Planning Manager Jio (Kashmir Division), he said that “At Wadipora we have already taken the Reliance tower for sharing and the site will take hardly one or two months to get functional.”  The other villages in its adjacent will also be covered but will take some time, he added.
