Srinagar: Authorities Monday suspended train services between Srinagar and Banihal following death of a civilian during clashes in Pulwama amid massive cordon and search operation in South Kashmir.

A youth was hit with a bullet in head and was evacuated to medical facility. He was referred to Srinagar but he succumbed to injuries.

“Train service between Banihal and Srinagar has been suspended as a precautionary measure,” an official said, adding that services will run as per schedule from Srinagar and Baramulla and vice versa.
