Srinagar: Police have released the father of Hizb Commnader Riyaz Naikoo from the custody.

Asadullah Naikoo, was picked up by Forces in a nocturnal raid from his Beighpora Awantipora residence here in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

Riyaz Naikoo alias Muhammad Bin Qasim is the Operational Commander of militant outfit Hizbul Mujhadeen.

SP Awantipora Mr Zahid Malik confirmed to a news agency that the father of Riyaz Naikoo has been released. “Police had not arrested him. He was brought here only for questioning,” Malik said.
