Official sources said one militant of Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) was killed and his associate fled amid intense clashes that broke out in the area soon after the gunfight ensued at Parra Mohalla, Hajin.
SSP Bandipora Sheikh Zulfikar Azad also confirmed the killing of the militant.

“One militant has been killed and his body along with a rifle has been recovered,” he said.

Meanwhile, authorities have snapped Internet service in Hajin and adjoining parts of Bandipora in the wake of the gunfight.
