Girl stabbed to death by youth in Bandipora

Bandipora: In A bizarre incident of its kind, a girl was stabbed to death by a youth in Bandipora District of North Kashmir here on on Tuesday.

Reports said that Mudasir Ahmad resident of Mantrigam attacked 18-year-old girl Shaisata with a sharp edged weapon five times in her abdomen at Buhthoo Village of Bandipora District.

Reports said that youth later also tried to commit suicide by stabbing with the same weapon. He was removed to hospital by police team following information by locals who spotted the duo in the spot. He was referred to Srinagar hospital for specialized treatment.

A Police official confirmed the incident and said that a case has been registered and investigation taken up in this regard.
