Srinagar: Suspected militants opened gunfire towards the house of former finance minister of Jammu and Kashmir and National conference senior leader Abdul Rahim Rather in Badipora village of Budgam district on Monday night.
According to reports incidents happened during the intervening night of Aug 27-28.
“Rather was not present there when the incident happened,” he said.
