Langate militants body exhumed, handed over to family

Langate: Authorities have exhume the body of a Langate man killed during a gunfight with the government forces in Rafiabad forests on August 9 after his DNA test matched with his family was found positive.

The body has been handed over to family.

.All the arrangements have been made for his burial at Langate.

According to locals thousands have gathered to offer funeral prayers .

All the five militants killed in the gunfight were buried at Hamam in Rafiabad forests. After the burial was over, government forces released pictured of the killed militants but a Langate family claimed one among them was their missing son, Muzaffar Ahmad Mir.

Mir had left his home on August 5 but did not return. A formal missing report was filed by the family members in the nearest police station.

Meanwhile, the authorities have suspended the internet service in the Handwara area as the last report came in.
