FLAGGING OFF OF “CAPACITY BUILDING TOUR” FOR DEGREE COLLEGE STUDENTS

Kupwara: General Officer Commanding of Vajr Division flagged off a “Capacity Building Tour” for 20 degree college students of Gurez, Tangdhar & Drugmulla.

The tour started from Jangli, Kupwara on Saturday afternoon and will be proceeding to Delhi and Agra.

The main aim of the tour is to upgrade the technical knowledge of college students and showcase co-existence, religious tolerance, the resilient economic resurgence and tremendous opportunities for professional growth/employment, through visits and interactions with various corporate offices and government establishment.

As part of the tour, the students will be visiting and interacting with certain corporate brands of India like Maruti Udyog, Bharti Airtel, DLF and Medanta Medicity.

The students will also visiti some army/government establishments, namely The National Skill Development Centre (NSDC), the Army College of Medical Science & Research Referrals Hospital.

In order to cater for an overall knowledge enrichment the students will also be touring certain places of historical importance like India Gate, the Red Fort, Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, the National Museum and the Rashtrapati Bhawan.

During the tour, the students are also slated to meet the Hon’ble President of India and the Chief of the Army Staff.

“This tour is an initiative to build capacity of the students by providing them with an opportunity to interact with the corporate industries & also provide awareness about the job opportunities in those sectors,”, GoC C P Punapa said on the occasion.
