Members of Joint Resistance Leadership were joined by people during a protest demonstrations against the challenge before Supreme court to Article 35A of the Indian constitution which among others allows only permanent residents of Jammu and Kashmir to own property in the state. The protesters were carrying banners, one of them reading: “Assault on Article 35A is the assault on our existence.”
Youth are seen pelting stones at government forces after Friday prayers outside historic Jamia Masjid in old city of Srinagar, the summer capital of the state.
