Protest erupt amid CASO in Tujjar Sopore

Sopore: Clashes erupted between protesting youth and government forces in Tujjar village of Sopore subdivision of Baramulla district in North Kashmir. 

Government forces have launched a cordon and search operation(CASO) in the area to flush out militants. According to SSP Sopore Javid Iqbal the operation in the area was launched after receiving specific inputs about the presence of the militants.

“Protesting youth took to streets as the search operations were going on in the area, police is trying to disperse the protesters,” sources said.

The CASO is being jointly conducted by Army and Jammu and Kashmir police.
