HC forms 2 judges panel to examine trials under Protection of Children from Sexual Violence Ordinance

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir High Court has constituted a committee of two judges to examine and monitor to progress the trials under the provisions of Jammu and Kashmir Protection of Children from Sexual Violence Ordinance 2018.
The Chief Justice constituted a comprising Justice Ali Mohammad Magrey and Justice Sindhu Sharma to examine and monitor the progress of the trials under the provisions of the Ordinance, according to an order issued here by Registrar General.
“The Committee would also examine and frame the guidelines for the Special Courts so that child friendly atmosphere is provided in such Courts in tune and spirit with the provisions of the POCSV Ordinance,” the order added.
